I was humbled to join the team at Sarabande – The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation, alongside Stephanie Finnan of Creative Search, and the incredible room full of fashion/luxury/design industry talent to discuss the current job market and changes we are seeing, in the Fashion and Luxury Industries.
From a candidate perspective, we discussed how best to search for a job, how to structure your CV, preparing for an interview and for your first 6 months in your new job.
From an employer’s perspective, we discussed how to prepare a job description and interview techniques that guarantee hiring the right talent, the changing organisation structure and roles – what they mean and talent profiles that should be considered to take these roles.
Finally, the different hiring options and where it makes sense to consider a permanent hire vs. Independent Consultants or Interims. This combined internal and external organisation structure allows for the agility and flexibility required in this fast-changing market.
